Oncology Nursing

Patients who have cancer or are at risk of getting it are cared for by oncology nurses. These nurses keep an eye on the physical health and symptoms of critically and persistently unwell cancer patients, develop treatment plans, prescribe medication, and deliver therapies like chemotherapy. They offer cancer prevention, screening, and detection counseling services to individuals who are at risk of developing the disease. In addition to providing treatment, advanced practice oncology nurses often work as educators, consultants, and researchers with their patients. They discuss treatment plans and strategies with other medical professionals in order to give their patients the best care possible. By giving patients the most up-to-date and pertinent information regarding their diseases, oncology nurses hope to educate their patients. As researchers, they pinpoint issues and investigate them in order to provide important discoveries that enhance cancer therapies.
