Cardiac Nursing

A cardiac nurse, often called a cardiac care nurse, is a medical specialist who specializes in treating patients with heart issues. While a CCN's tasks may differ depending on the context, they will assist in treating patients who have experienced or are currently experiencing congestive heart failure, cardiac dysrhythmia, cardiomyopathy, or angina issues. In addition to doing stress tests and health evaluations, a nurse's duties may include tending to a patient following surgery or keeping a close eye on their heart rate.
